Wireline Gauge Cutter also known as the diameter gauge, is an
important auxiliary tool in wire operation. Run the Gauge cutter
before running the downhole tool to determine whether the downhole
device can pass through the tubing and to determine the location of
the joint located in the tubing. At the same time, the wax, rust
and rock debris in the tubing can be scraped off together.
The outside diameter of the Gauge Cutter can be processed according
to customer needs. Under normal circumstances, the outside diameter
of the Gauge cutter is slightly larger than the maximum outside
diameter of the drilling tool. The connection thread and fish neck
can be selected according to the standard specifications.
The Wireline Gauge Cutter of the tubing scraper is the connection
thread and fish neck, and the lower part is the part of the tubing
scraper to scrape off wax, rust and rock debris. After quenching
treatment, the surface hardness of this area is high, and the wax,
rust and cuttings can be smoothly scraped off. There is a large
chip hole in the middle of the Gauge Cutter, which can smoothly
discharge the cuttings, so as not to cause the accumulation of
cuttings, so that the tool can not work normally. When in use, the
scraper is connected to the front end of the tool string, and when
it is lowered, once it encounters obstacles, the jar will jar
downward and scrape away the obstacles.
