SB Type Pulling Tool and GS Pulling Tool Wireline Pulling Tool
I. Introduction
The S type pulling tool is an outer pulling tool, which can grasp
the shoulder of the outer fishing neck with special fishing claw and move upward to release the claw, and which
is divided into three types: SB, SM and SS.
The GS type pulling tool is used to pull inner fishing necks, which
can cut off and release an object downward and is usually is used
to throw and fishing the lock cylinder, packer, bridge plug and
others with inner fishing necks. After connecting the GU joint
(upward shear joint), it can be converted to be an upward shear and
releasing tool.

III. Structural features
The S-type pulling tool is composed of upper contact, outer
cylinder, sleeve, pressing cap, main spring, secondary spring, spring seat, fishing claw, shear pin, etc. There are some grooves distributed uniformly on the outer cylinder;
the fishing claw is installed on the groove and shrunk under the function of secondary spring and spring seat;
the mandrel is fixed in the outer cylinder with shear pin; the main spring is installed in the stepped hole on
the top of the outer cylinder and pressed with the pressing cap; the upper connect is connected with the
outer cylinder. While fishing, the outer fishing neck will enter into the outer
cylinder to drive the fishing claw to move up, and then the fishing claw will splay under the function of the
slope of outer cylinder and fishing claw; after continuing to move the outer fishing neck up, the fishing claw will
reset under the function of secondary spring, and then grasp the out fishing neck immediately; at this
moment, the upper contact, outer cylinder and fishing claw connected with the top tool string are bearing the
strength of the object to be fished at the bottom. When the tool moves downward, the outer fishing neck will
hold out against the mandrel to cut off the shear pin; the mandrel will be pulled up under the function of
main spring, and the big step of the mandrel will pull the fishing tool to move up and splay to complete
releasing.
